We've just had our drive-way and path re-done and have an area in between covered in slate chippings. I want to put two or three oak barrels there for specimen plants. I'm thinking of conifers as they're evergreen and change colour over the seasons. Trouble is it is quite open to salt-winds so am unsure what to use. I do have a small pinus conifer in the back garden that seems to do ok. Anyone got any suggestions?
