Shed advice
« on: October 03, 2013, 17:35 »
Afternoon all,
Just after a few thoughts if I may, at present, my sheds are felted on all sides, but it's dropping to bits.
Just wondering what else I could cover the external walls of the sheds in other than felt.....and doesn't cost the earth.
Thanks

I used some old tin roof sheets I got on eBay did the trick just rounded off any sharp bits with a hammer

I'd love to shingle mine with either cedar shingles or maybe slates. Mine is coming apart so I'm tacking pieces of exterior quality ply to the inside in an ad hoc fashion

That's a warehouse!

Heavy duty black plastic sheeting would be inexpensive but ugly.

How about cladding it in thin ply and then using an oil based paint?

Batten and slates but would be expensive.

If I had a shed like that I would sell my house to get the slates and live in it  :)

There is some outside woodchip boarding they use to board up disused buildings but can not remember it's name.
I'm lost without my SatNav.

As it happens, I've found a ready supply of exterior ply I will acquire so that's going on with a good few coats of cuprinol.....when I get my hens they get a shed that size too. Oh, this is it as it stands....I'll put one on when I get finished in ten years....can't really see it in the pic but I've been at work all day and can't be bothered to move the heras....the interior I've put thin ply down on the floor and wire brushed the inside and painted...it used to have hens in so lots of wire brushing....
