Beetroot Alto F1 Hybrid. We have a continuous supply of beautiful sweet beets that get wrapped in foil with some herbs and placed on the BBQ. Wonderful  :D

Tasty strawberries and my first success with cucumbers, although the first lot died, the second lot are now producing loads. I put it down to planting them into a big pot of compost with the bottom cut out and placed on the greenhouse border with plenty of water.

Yes, probably a bit early to give a final answer. But so far strawbs, red currents, beets, onions, garlic all done very well. Squashes are romping away and growing fruit at present, so as long as I can keep watering I'm hopeful of success here. Good carrots and luttuce.

So far the crops I am most pleased with are beetroot after last year's dismal failure, cauliflowers as it a relief to see them form, dwarf french beans in the polytunnel as they were so early in was a delight to eat them, and cherries from our dwarf tree in the fruit cage... we got the net on in time to foil the birds this year

A bit early to give a final verdict.
So far all my brassicas are looking fantastic - only harvested turnips so far though.
The runner and climbing French beans look as if they are going to do really well.
Potatoes good so far - excellent Jazzy only ones eaten yet.
Garlic was very early but a good crop.
Chillies and sweet peppers in the greenhouse doing well.
Straightneck yellow summer squash has started going berserk.
Sweetcorn promising.
Redcurrants - huge yield.

Creeping buttercup in the spring, before the weather changed from cloudy and damp to warm and dry and I dug it all up.

It is difficult to say crop-wise because apart from the early potatoes, nothing has quite got to the point of producing yet, the squash have taken off in the heat and are now producing fruitlets, the French beans are flowering and will produce pods very soon, and the brassicas aren't up to size yet. So far the beans and squash look in the best shape and could be very productive, the prolonged hot dry weather has kept the slug damage right down so they have had the chance to establish and grow into mature plants. Fingers crossed that by the end of the month I will have a very productive allotment.

OK so I did post too soon. Although my beets are fabulous and still producing well, nothing prepared me for the taste of my new gooseberry Xenia. Wow!

Mini Munch cucumbers!  Flipping brilliant Yum.   Both dogs love em too.  Am supplying the neighbour’s as they’re so prolific

Also, a notable success is the Kalibos cabbage I gre from seed to make COLESLAW.    Just had a portion with my ham salad and beetroot, and I  have to say, it’s gorgeous.  😋😋😋😋😋😋

I could snaffle the lot 😜
