Hi Jaycee,in the past i have used bamboo canes pushed into the ground with a small plastic container(usually an actimel pot)on top,this prevents any abrasion of material. I would then use clothes pegs to secure material to canes.However i too like the look of the clingons

Glad someone else asked this question - I'm going to cover my brassica bed with mesh this year too, got a bargain pack on ebay ;-)  I'll plant my sprouts along the middle of the bed, as this is where they'll have the most headroom!

It's one thing not knowing what zip ties are but I don't know what enviromesh is or where it can be bought. Can somebody enlighten me, please?

its a very thin nylon fabric you can get it from most garden centres/wilkos and loads of places on line do a search on the home page .

no worry chuck, enviromesh is  fabric tent like material that is stretched over poles to form a wind break it also acts likema greenhouse to protect plants its enviromental mesh
