 Okay it's not reallly a mattock but it's used in a similar way and more or less looks like the "lightweight azadas" on the get digging website. And it was £2.50 from Lidl and I've not broken it yet... pretty impressive considering I hacked this out of the ground today with it.


That's about 4 inches across of bramble root. Even despite that little .... I managed to clear about 2 sq metres of ground in an hour and a half tops all by myself. I'll bother posting a picture of the mattock-thingy later... maybe after I try sharpening it with my fake dremel tool thingy. There's much thingies in this home!

i got one from the car boot sale for 50p and i think its worth its weight in gold. brilliant on couch grass and its roots!
