Which trees are best in Polytunnels?

What is your experience? (Other than peaches...) ;-)
Gardening requires lots of water - most of it in the form of perspiration. :-)

Haha, yes, that's an idea! ;-) I was thinking more along the line of edible crops ;-) We have a fig tree and a huge vine (not a tree but its very big) and would like to plant one more, any experience? Cherry? Olive? Avocado even?

A chap on our site is growing a banana tree....yep In Manchester....its about to burst through his tunnel soon though  :unsure:

Unless the cherry is on a dwarfing rootstock it will be too big.  Likewise the olive.  I have not heard of successful avocados being grown in the UK.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

What temperature will you allow the tunnel to drop to in winter?

Already have a big vine ;-) Not sure what temperature, never measured!  :blink:
It's not heated & I live in Ireland.
