i read somewhere but now cant find it....
my approx 6/7 weeks old orpington seems to have a very large crop,i have noticed that they seem to get it before bedtime, im guessing where they have that late munch before bed it gets a bit full cause it gone by the morning, but just putting them to bed and i noticed it also has a running nose, its not clear its a bit white??
i read about to massage it to make them throw it back up?? should i be doing that or leave it to go down ?? bit concerned cause of the runny nose to??

the crop should be full at night and empty in the morning so don't massage it. As for the runny nose - is the hen rattly breathing, chesty, gaping, swollen or puffy eyed? If not just keep a close eye on her.

i thought the crop was normal, didnt notice anything else strange,,,
chicken keeping is a worrying but fantastic thing..
