They're doing some for £15 in Woolies at the moment and a Bosch one for £20. Might not be that hefty (surely not) but may be OK for light work and nose hair.
Self-sufficient in rasberries and bindweed. Slug pellets can be handy.

Got to have some bargains :)

I've been driving the boss round to the shops until her ankle heals - never realised the science she applies to her bargain hunting.

Talked to a guy an my site, he baught an electric strimmer and said it wasn't that good.

He said the speed wasn't high enough to cut efficiently

Just check the rpm is high enough.

He has asked to borrow my engine strimmer, if an electric is about £20-£30 why not pay the little extra for the engine one £49.99 argos or focus. :?

Just got a petrol strimmer (B&Q) for £79.99 it really does the job well but you will go through line very quickly if your brambles are as big as mine!

Err....yes how did you guess?  Were you the chap looking to buy one when I got mine?
Got the Ryobi version it is actually steel and has not broken yet! However, I was not very impressed with the line supplied with it - Put some decent 2.5mm thick grade in and it works a treat. Weeds watch out!
