What about rocket or watercress, radicchio, chicory(normally for forcing but you can use it straight of). Mixes of micro greens, cut & come again types, mizuna, spinach, chard, Pak Choi or any of the oriental greens

I'm with you, Notty1975.

Grow mizuna and rocket for when I want a bit of pep, but I also like the less zingy salads so this year I'm mixing young spinach leaves in with some red veined sorrel.  Haven't tried it yet but I think it should be quite nice

You can add a lot of zing to salad with herbs.  Parsley, chives, garlic chives, mint, tarragon - any of the green soft ones really.

Its easy to pick a few leaves to scatter or chop onto your portion of the salad and you only need a few pots of them dotted around to pick from.

How about growing pea shoots?

Just chuck a handful of dried peas on a wet tray, and get them to about 6" high.

Use the whole plant or cut and come again!

Some mustard greens for a bit of heat? Or a spicy salad cut-and-come-again mix? Would be fab for a kebab. 😄
