Hi everyone,
I'm currently spending my first gardening year in the south of France. We're in quite an exposed meadow, it gets pretty windy, but isn't that cold. I'd like to set up a cold frame (feel free to tell me if this is the wrong place to post this). I'm wondering where to locate it? A sheltered spot with slightly less light or with as mich light/sun as possible. I'm keen to start growing...... we seem to be having early signs of spring but am aware weather could get bad before proper spring. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

i'm no expert on warm climates but plants always benefit from good light especially young plants that you definately don't want to be leggy

You have to balance full sun, with the possibility of the frame overheating. That's no problem if you are always around to open the frame when the sun hits the glass.

Otherwise I'd put it somewhere light but not directly facing south, I think facing West is best for catching any late afternoon warmth.
