In our PT I have set up a system of high shelves to get an early crop of strawberries which works really well.  Now that they have cropped I've taken the strawberry pots out and there's a big long empty shelf crying out for use.

Can anyone suggest what could be planted/started off on those high shelves?

Not for this year - but in future you could grow tumbling tomatoes lower down and put them up there to mature and crop after the strawberries.  How about fast growing chinese greens - they would love the warmth.  Or coriander if you do a lot of curries?  How much headroom do you have??

Its not too late to still be starting stuff off.  French beans are worth a go, especially if you have room in the poly tunnel to plant them out for a late season crop.

If you have seeds around that you can use, I would also try spring onions. sown as a pinch of seed in a module.

It seems an ideal location for micro-greens as well.  How about some seed trays of salad leaves and herbs to snip over with scissors on a regular basis.  These pep up a plain salad no end

Went with the chinese veg idea.

Lots of Pak Choi, Chinese Cabbage, Tatsoi etc now growing up the the roofspace of the PT
