I'm sad to hear about Onion, but your care in January gave her an extra few months, which I'm sure she enjoyed to the full.
Getting your hens and Pingu to their dotage shows how well you look after them

And her brother sadly died a couple of days ago. We heard a commotion in the coop went to look, and he was sort of fitting, then he just died. He'd had a good life, spoilt rotten with lots of girlies to keep him happy and plenty of garden to roam in. At least he didn't suffer, but it's very quiet around here now.

Sad news, but at least it was quick and he probably didn't know too much about it.
He had a great life and as you say, was spoiled rotten

His special girlfriend spent over an hour calling for him after he went, I don't think she knows what to do with herself now, they were always together.

Oh that is so sad
. That would break my heart to hear as well
I am dreading one of my lads going. They are both coming up for 5 years old and Alphie has a dicky ticker. He has scared me badly a few times.
Maybe give it a few weeks and see if you can offer a home to an unwanted male
