Chatting on the Plot / Re: Squirrel Online

Flippin' heck! That's some savvy squirrel!! Just hope you have a firearms licence and another one for whatever you're going to load it with. May I suggest either a punt gun or, even better, a Martini Henry as used by the British in the Zulu war of Rorke's Drift. Can't just remember the exact model but it was mentioned in the film which is one of my favourites. Maybe it was a .455???

We've used Haith's as there are many choices for which birds you tend to get in the garden.

A bit of overnight rain and it's now drizzling here.

Grow Your Own / Has anyone used copper tape?
« Last post by Cavolo Hero on May 04, 2024, 08:34 »
Want to plant out some pots and troughs but can’t bear the thought of my cherished hand reared plantlets getting chomped by the slimies in their hoards thanks to all that rain  >:(

Has anyone tried using copper tape, and does it work?

It’s a complete seed mix.  Peckish

That's really helpful, thanks.

Is that the Complete Seed and Nut mix, or one of the other many types they have? So much choice ::) :D

A maz on.  Which means we don’t have to carry it.

We use peckish.  Very good mix with very little wheat, so more suitable for small birds and quite a lot of the seeds have been dehusked, which makes for less mess.

Besides Tundra, I've also grown Marshall's Winter Green but that's a pointy one  ::)
