Title: My Strawberry tree has flowers and fruits!
Post by: Goosegirl on November 03, 2017, 15:18
We got an Arbutus unedo (the Strawberry tree) this year and it's got loads of little white flowers that dangle in like a downward-looking pedicle. Now I've got two strawberry fruits on it! I'll post a pic when the weather clears up, but I'm really chuffed!  :)

Goosey, is that a Chinese version?

When we were regulars in The Pinetum near here, there were a couple of exquisite trees just as you describe!

Nice leaves too!

It sounds like it's from Japan but it grows in Mediterranean areas, western France and Southern Ireland. Piccie coming soon.
