Storing Cannas
« on: November 15, 2018, 09:42 »
Hi folks, I have two lovely Cannas that I want to store in the pots that they are in for the winter.  There is still a good bit of foliage on them, do I cut this back?  Can I store them under the staging in the greenhouse or should they be in the shed which is darker.

I store them in the same way as dahlias, cutting them back and keeping them somewhere frost free for the Winter. I don't think it matters if it is a dark place or not really.
The ones we have this year are in massive pots so I shall take them out and store them dry, in large paper bags under the staging in the frost free greenhouse

Hope that helps :D
