Are broody hens generally a bit late with hatching?

An egg at 22 days and no signs of pipping. Can they be late under a broody???

Well little Betty Boop was 23 days :roll: I thought she would never hatch and was contemplating the unthinkable :oops: then I listened and heard the pipping :lol:

I presume they are chicken eggs? And yes apparently they can be late, someone warned me mine might be late when I was having trouble with a broody being restless. (Less than a week ago.)
I demand the right to buy seed of varieties that are not "distinct, uniform and stable".

i just had some hatch, 1 21 days, 3 at 23 days, 1 at 24 days. all under same broody.

i had two hatch on day 26 twp weeks ago.the only reason i hadnt taken the eggs out was cause i couldnt get day olds til then and didnt want her to stop sitting.they are big and strong chicks
