Meet Mabel and Gertrude!

Hi guys!

We went and collected our two new chooks late this afternoon. One who we've named Mabel, and one who we've called Gertrude

Not sure which is which, but one is a Blue Haze and one a Speckledy Maran (i think Mabel's the BH, Gertrude the SM, but i'm more or less guessing :oops: )

We got them out of the crate in the run, and clipped their wings. Then let them have a bit of a scratch around before putting them in the hen house for the night. Chooky was already nice and comfy in her nest box when we got back, so they haven't been properly introduced yet - just bunged in together

Anyway... here are the pics...

Will get some better pics tomorrow in the light. We took some of the girls scratching around in the henhouse with Chooky looking on slightly bewildered... probably thinking "intruders! get out of my house!" but they won't upload to my photobucket for some reason... will keep trying though

So there you go! Mabel and Gertrude have joined Chooky!
