John is a very hard working man and this website wouldn't be here if  it wasn't for his efforts so don't call him anything rather than John.No blighter no blooming.

so the brown spots on the leaves are normal then?
they dont look normal

dig what out? the beans? i was told by a bloke in the pub to leave the roots in as they leave hydrogen peroxide in the ground and other vitamins.

Leaving the roots in the soil is often advised because they add nitrogen to the soil (or something like that).

As for composting the remains, you won't get a specific answer to that question without a diagnosis.  And without a picture no-one is going to be able to even attempt a diagnosis.

Having said that, I had brown marks on my peas earlier in the year.  It wasn't mud.  It was probably chocolate spot or some other disease.  If I'd thought about it, I probably wouldn't have composted the dead remains, but I didn't think about it...
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

That's like moaning about about a TV programme that you don't like.

There's always the "off" button.

Admin can always press it for you.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

but you have to watch the programme first before you can moan about about it Tommy

like i said i came here to ask a simple question which is proving to be the hardest question in gardening history as no one knows the answer

and then on top of that i get threatened with being switched off!!

if this is that kind of forum where everyones scared to say the wrong thing through fear of getting banned then go ahead Tommy make my day

Acutally, my name's not Tommy & it may have helped if you'd posted on the correct forum.

So I'll move it there.
