        Friend offering Bambo plants but says they grow like weeds. Anyone know how to contain them? Thanks JB

either plant in big pots or put bamboo control plastic around them

Not all types of bamboo are invasive, but if you are concerned you can plant them in large pots. :)

One good thing I hadnt thought about when I planted some bamboos, was that after a while you have a free supply of canes.
Admittedly not the thickest, but havent bought any since growing my own!- and helps prevent excessive spreading!
Very often quite lost- would be more lost if I could work out where I was!- But always find my way home.....

I have got 3 different types in garden.  They are all in tubs, because my garden is small.
The tubs are very large plastic ones and eventually they split the tubs, when that happens I  hawl the plants out and then saw them into nice pieces.  (you will need a large saw).  then I replant them and off they go again, I then have ones to replant and give away or offer them for our village garden show plant stall.  Good Luck,  Mrs Bouquet
