Thank you presents have changed in these parts!
« on: July 14, 2009, 21:52 »
I work as a teacher and at the end of every year the people responsible for subjects in our department buy a small gift to thank the other teachers for their hard work and effort.  In the past I have bought people boxes of chocolates, wine etc, but this year it is slightly different!

OH made the boxes which I'm really pleased with, the eggs are from our chickens and the veg from the plot.  So, so proud to be able to give something like this.  Hopefully the recipients will be pleased too and not wonder where their chocolates are!

lol my mum sent me in with a tin of baked beans from the cupboard but I know what you mean!  Must admit I said to the OH, can't wait to have grandchildren so that they can take something like this in to harvest festival!  Son would be way too 'embarrassed' at his age (11!)

That is a great idea and like others have said its taken time rather than a quick pop into the supermarket on the way to school.

Tell them to return the box and you can re-use it for next year

That is a beatiful end of term gift.  It makes a change from all the little ornaments that you can't find room for or the chocolates that go straight to your hips!
