Introducing Chickens
« on: July 21, 2008, 13:54 »
Hi guys, my first time on the forum and would really appreciate some advice.

We've just taken delivery of our 6 Cornish game hens - lovely ladies they are too! - these are obviously our eaters, am I ok to introduce another few layers - maybe another 6 of a different breed or will they not get on?

If I am ok, is their anyone in the Nottingham area with some layers for sale or rescue?

Kind Regards

Daemo

As long as they have enough space to escape the others then they will be ok but feathers will fly a bit while they sort out the pecking order.

Have a look in the back of Smallholder magazine there are lots of breeders in there.
