Morning all,
Planted my autumn Garlic and shallots quite early (late september) expecting the 1st frosts to kick in (which they didn't!) and now have 1ft high leaves on both. Problem is the punishing winds have bent over the shoots leaving them looking a bit straggly and messy.
Is this ok? Or should I cut my losses and start again?
The varieties are
Garlic - Germidour & Carcassone Wight
Shallots - Jermor & Golden Gourmet.
Think I may have jumped the gun a bit planting them so early...
