squash, bush or trailing vine?

erm, are crookneck squash bush varieties? and are crown prince squash trailing or bush?

i forgot, and i'm trying to decide where to put them on the plot   :roll:  :oops:  :lol:  :lol:

Almost certainly there will be plenty exceptions, but crookneck as traditional is trailing, so is Crown Prince, no bush, most of them. That's a new hybridising achievement in some.

But on the other hand T & M have this to say about their crookneck squash...

Well, it should be advertised on the packet, just like that. :D  Bush varieties of all sorts of cucurbits are very popular for space saving, but these also will spread about a couple metres or so.

Crown Prince is no bush.

We have lots of courgette/summer squash varieties Down Under that are bush types.  I will only grow out a runner type if it is exceptional quality.
