Supermarket flowers
« on: December 29, 2018, 11:14 »
My gift to myself on Christmas Eve.     15 beautiful large yellow rose buds.   They were from  Tesco Local and cost £5.   They are stunning and I wish I could remember how to do a 'photo for you. :D  Mrs Bouquet

I've always found Asda flowers to last far longer than more expensive ones from the florist, and they are reasonable enough to be able to treat yourself now and again when there aren't any on the allotment to pick.Your yellow roses sound wonderful Mrs B, a lovely sunny colour to brighten a dull winter's day.

I treated myself to a mixed bunch of flowers with yellow roses & yellow lilies on Thursday to bring some freshness into the house. Once upon a time I nearly always had fresh flowers somewhere or other but seem to have got out of the habit since retiring ☹️

I like to always have flowers, and don't like to pick them.    These Tesco's yellow roses, bought on Christmas Eve, got thrown out today, of the fifteen, five have been retained and are good enough for another few days I reckon.   When they finish, I shall dry the petals and put them in a bowl for a while.  :)
I think that for £5 they were a cracking good buy.    Mrs Bouquet

I was given a pot of small white roses as a thank-you present for doing our rellie's meal which were from our local supermarket called Booth's. All their packaged bouquets of flowers, potted flowers, shrubs, and trays of plants are very good value and well-priced.
I work very hard so don't expect me to think as well.
