Seaweed Collecting
« on: August 21, 2018, 08:44 »
Noticed loads of seaweed on beach whilst walking the dog, so decided to collect some.

Filled old compost bag with lots of wet seaweed and knackered my self getting it to car, filling another bag with dry seaweed was a lot easier.

Message to self only collect the dry stuff.

Just be aware as well that taking stuff from the beach can involve asking the landowner's permission.  I know people do, but in some places, it is actually something you can get picked up on  ;)

The land above the high tide mark belongs to the property owner and the land in between that and the low tide mark is Crown Property. It's always best if you can get permission to remove it to avoid potential trouble from either the landowner or jealous gardeners!
I work very hard so don't expect me to think as well.

You could have given their memory a jog by saying that a "Queen" once played on the roof of the palace and also played her part in the Olympic opening ceremony by sliding down a rope with James Bond. If that doesn't do it heads will roll!
