pate question
« on: August 15, 2010, 17:36 »
I bought some pre made pate - therte is too much to eat in a week so wondered about freezing it - nowhere on the packet does it say do not, but it doesn't say you can either - what do you think? Would it be ok to freeze?  Thanks
just keep breathing................

I froze some left over duck pate at Christmas and it thawed out fine  :)

I quite often buy 1kg catering packs of pate after Christmas when they mark them down but are still in date.  I cut them up into 200g packs and freeze.  They defrost quickly and make great sandwich fillings for work .....  Brussels, Ardenne, duck, mushroom, sometimes quite posh ones  .... they all work fine.
