Bonnie calved this morning, nice little bull calf

Bonnie and new baby with Bonnie's mother making sure her new grandson is being well looked after. We like to keep family groups together as much as possible, they like it too

So just 2 to name, its this pair of ruffians  I've got my favourites from the suggestions but what do you think suits each of them :D

They really are beautiful cattle, well done you!

When we give ours their pedigree name it follows on from the family name, like Ultramarine (Past Royal Cornwall supreme champion) all her off spring is named after different shades of blue such as cobalt.
In saying that the little white one definitely looks like a lady Eleanor and the little brown a Delilah

I know thats the usual way of naming Nicky, OH goes that road with his South Devons. :)

But i only have 9 cows and as most of my buyers are smallholder type people and  women - dont know why us girls like hairy cattle with horns :D-  I like to give them individual names. :)

The boys get a name that somehow just develops, like Milky Chops and Philip, because he looked like Philip Schofield, but i dont register the boys .
Its been mainly boys this year, would have chosen the other way round, but there you go, a live bull calf is better than a dead heifer so mustn't complain.

What breed is your supreme champion. I know how much work there is getting an animal read for show and its not just a wash and brush up the day before is it. :)

They are so beautiful Spana :D  So many good names to pick - like Delilah.  Have you got a short list of your favourites?  I keep coming back to Stella Blue for the light one

She's a Jersy girl - now retired but still looking good in her 9 th lactation!

Not shown now for a couple of years due to tab restrictions (not that we've ever had a conclusive yet!) and a lack of time. But we've shown the black and white boys what a true dairy cow should look like :D

I think i'll settle on Delilah for the little red one and OH wants Jolene for the white calf ::)
I cant put here what his reasoning is, its too rude :D But he talked a bit  about  big  udders :D
He can be so coarse sometimes ;) :D

But Jolene was such a tramp, unlike your lovely calf  :D  She looks more like a Mary Muggins.

Truly Scrumptious (from chitty chitty bang bang) - or would that send the wrong signals?

Well, if it's a good name or not, Spana, I think I've got one of those ear worms now that argyllie talks about  :D. Just as well I'm not going to be at your sale, cause I'd probably find myself bidding   She sort of suits Jolene  :D. I'm now away to wrestle the song out my ear  !  Hope to hear what you finally decide - they're both just lovely.
