Looks like an Elephant Hawk Moth caterpillar - look fantastic don't they

Thankyou! I have 3 of them currently eating weeds so happy for them to stay

in fact I stopped weeding... They are quite magnificent to look at, and the kids like them

I found one this morning walking down our drive. I think it has been feeding on the fuchsias

Yes I agree ,that's what I found 2 munching on my fuchsias last year .Not seen any this year tho' and the moth is quite interesting too.
