Title: constipated cockrel
Post by: monty on October 26, 2006, 15:08
Help. My 4 year old cockrell is constipated and is having trouble passing faeces. He is pecking his feathers out around his anus and is obviously distressed . Has anyone any ideas please?

I'm no expert and a phone call to the vet might be in order, but have you tried giving a teaspoon of olive oil? It helps constipation in many animals and people and is safe for chickens according to my books.
Good luck
