Title: Seasoned Dryed Out Garlic Toast for Chickens
Post by: SM Lt.SweetFarmSweetFarm on May 16, 2018, 00:02
I know that giving this to my hens would effect the taste of my eggs, so I choose to give this to my
meat chickens.  My question is that I have about 18 of them & what would be the ratio of crumbs should I give them as a treat & does the crumbs also need to be wet down before giving it to them?   Thanks so much for your advice in advance  :D

I don't give my hens bread at all.  It's not nutritious for them, so it won't fatten them up in any way.  Not sure what you mean by seasoned - salt is bad for birds. They will eat some herbs, though.

I use garlic in water and also garlic granules in the mixed corn tarts I make, to be honest I can smell garlic when I am close to them but the eggs dont taste one bit of garlic
My girls have herbs on a daily basis in some form or other.
I have put my recipe for the tarts in the chicken chat.
