Blackcurrant Sage
« on: August 13, 2011, 18:41 »
Looking for ideas...my blackcurrant sage bushes are as ever flowering profusely and I'd like tips on using the flowers - I've tried making a syrup (not too successful), I add them to various red fruit cordials and I've put them in with sugar which infused nicely but leaves the sugar dampish - might try drying the flowers but will lose the wonderful 'honey'.  Suggestions welcome!

Must admit I've never heard of it before, but it sounds very interesting.

I googled for recipes, and when I click on, they add sage rather than your variety. So, sorry, I can't help with other uses for it.
