Hi
Just found a few wild bramble plants in the long grass in the middle of our allotment, we got the plot about a month ago and will be getting it rotavated soon but I was just wondering if they will sprout all over the place if they are rotavated into the ground.
by the time i am old and grey i might be 100% organic

Probably. This will happen whatever you do. Try to dig as much as you can out anyway. Part of the fun of it all...
Self-sufficient in rasberries and bindweed. Slug pellets can be handy.

Be utterly ruthless.  Don't even think "I fancy a few blackberries, perhaps I'll leave them".

Now we have had some decent rain dig as much of the roots up as poss and put them in the recycling bin/rubbish bin. they become a true problem if you leave them around. In my neighbours garden the brambles are as thick as a pork sausage and keep trying to make a come back in mine  but treat them with cruelty, although the first year we were here i had some super pies of them. :!:
If you cant be a good example then you must  be a horrrible warning........

To sit on the fence is not an option

my plot was full of blackberries some were from an old holder which is a shame but they are a * to get rid of and grow so big before you even get any fruit! get them up before the plot is rotavated that is 100%!!

Get rid of the wild ones.

Buy a new thornless type, you get more fruit from them, they are easier to pick and don't spread as much.

Try Wilkinsons, thats where i got mine from.
