Wind Turbine on Allotment
« on: September 27, 2010, 20:01 »
Hi, has anyone built their own wind turbine for use on an allotment. I currently have a solar panel slow charging my car battery, which is used for powering the radio.

Thanks
David

Hi David, I have drawn up some plans for a small wind turbine that will charge up a couple of batteries from an electric wheelchair. The power would just be for lighting in the shed and/or maybe a low-output heater to keep the chill off in the greenhouse.  I haven't had time to build it yet, who knows when I will, but it's on the list...   :)

What are your thoughts?
