hi all

ive been given a kit for Christmas it consists of

steriliser
2 x 5 litre fermentaion bins
8inch sppon
syphon
2x airlocks
12 in thermometer(spirit)
trial jar
170mm hydrometer
some yeast
and a can of  red wine enricher 245g

i have no instructions so can anyone enlighten me on what i am supposed to do

Barring sugar, yeast nutrient and other ingredients you have everything you need to get going! I would recommend you start by buying CJJ Berry's First Steps in Winemaking, or find some good recipes online - there are plenty of homebrew blogs.

If you are growing parsnips, they make good wine - and you don't waste them for eating either. :blink:

maby try something like one of these to get you started these have full instructions with them
will second the cjj berry book it is one of if not the best book for beginers

get 4ltr of red grape juice 500gms sugar and couple of table spoons of lemon juice put it into the sterilized jar along with the yeast fit the air lock and once  it starts to bubble rapidly add the concentrate and leave till it forms a sediment on the bottom , transfer to the other jar fit a air lock and leave for another couple of months making sure the lock does not dry out then drink ! :blink:
