I have some flowers quite a bunch of them.  The flowers are similar to snowdrops the leaves are heart shped and hairy.  Its not lilly of the valley and not snowdrops cos of leave shape.  They could very well be a weed or wild flower.  Any ideas.  I will try and post a pic after me dinner if no ideas.  Thought someone could take a guess though and I could google on the images

Thanks.

Definitely not a trillium as it has 3 distinct flower petals and the leaves are smooth.

It looks very much of the comfrey family but I'd need to google for more info.  Might be a native woodland type.

Looking at some pics it is very similar to comfrey isn't it.  OH first said he thought it was borage but that was just a guess.  Borage isn't the same as comfrey is it.  the leaves are hairy though and on some pics on google the comfrey doesn't look hairy.  Wouldn't surprise me if it was comfrey as this was meadow land in early 1800 and in about 1870 a doctor (don't know what sort) owned the house that used to be on the grounds.  We have found a few medicinal plants.

Thats spooky though isn't it I decide to grow veg this year, heard a lot about comfrey plants and lo' and behold one appears for the first time this year (we've only been here two years this month) didn't notice it last year.

I won't mention that I swear blind I have seen an old lady in a white cargi walk behind that plant twice - no one was there, when I checked.  Opps I said it anyway

it`s too early for borage. When you do cut the comfrey for tea/plant food wear gloves and cover your arms as it can be very irritating, especially if you mistake it for borage and put it in your pimms!

Well now there would be poetic justice,

We were gardening today. I always wear gloves - allergic to a lot of plants - but caught the other half with his hands around the plant throttling it, even though I told him to leave it as I thought it was quite pretty. He thought it too big and near the path. I won, gave him the look and a few warning words.

Wonder if OH was irritated by that if you pardon the pun   hehe

We would be equal though as I have an enormous black bruise on my derrier and back of my leg, flower bed is on a slope was trying to pull out a Lords and ladies plant and fell backwards over the plant pots and into the picnic table.  The older I get the more unsteady I get and thats at 50.

Don't go cutting your white comfrey for the compost heap, you hear!  Plain old Bocking 14 strain is what you want for that.

Well it probably can but it seems rather a waste of such a nice plant.   I'm sure if you were to offer cuttings in the swop shop, then folks would send you Bocking 14 cuttings for your fertiliser.   Bocking 14 will grow 6 times more bulk for you than white comfrey.
