Metal Sheds.. advice please
« on: March 08, 2009, 18:14 »
Homebase are doing a 6ft x 4ft metal shed for £89
£30 off normal rrp (apparently).

Any body got any experience of these?

Many thanks.

Don't do it.    :tongue2:
They get very hot in the sun and get lots of condensation in them.
A wood one is a lot better.

Homebase normally sell a wooden one the same size at about the same price.

ive put one of those up at the school i work at 3 reasons not to
 reason 1
they get to hot and very damp inside
 reason 2
you could cut them open with a penknife
 reson 3
 they are totally c**p
either go plastic or better still wood

I've just thought of another one.....(although you're number three reason is good enough on it's own!)

They're three dimensional jigsaws to put together! ;)

Hi,

If you do decide to get one make sure its well secured down.

I've got one, aquired from freecycle last year.

I had to reteive it from a neighbours plot at the weekend

It's a bit dented now, but still does the job of hiding my fork and spade.

I may look into building a wooden one from scratch over the summer!
