Grain

An odd question maybe ! I have been very successful with sweetcorn over the years, but is it possible to grow any other grain on an allotment in sufficient quantities to make it worthwhile ? I'm thinking of barley or oats ?

i would say no , i grow barley on some ground to let my chooks have some fresh green .as i do spinach beet. but i would think  i would come up against a lot of argument growing barley on a plot or oats when you can buy them at a £1 a sack from farmers unprocessed , but who knows  what happens in diferent areas  :D
