"Pruning" sweetcorn.
« on: June 29, 2018, 18:58 »

Quite hot out there aint it!
Will I improve the flavour/size of the resultant cobs if I remove the sideshoots emerging from the main stem at groud level?

Cheers,  Tony.
I may be growing OLD, but I refuse to grow UP !

Most recent research suggests that removal of tillers has little, if any, effect on corn grain yield.

Thanks for that, a very interesting article.  I'll leave them alone.
