Ants with a bonus
« on: June 25, 2018, 11:41 »
The bonus is the lovely green woodpeckers that come into my garden and peck them all out along the edges were the ants spring up (which seems to be everywhere at the moment).  We have a black and white woodpecker as well, but he isn't interested in the Ants, just all the bits of trellis and posts etc that are going rotten.   But it is a delight to watch them.   Mrs Bouquet

Nature’s own ant killer if given a chance 😊 . Just goes to show we don’t need to zap everything in sight

We have quite a few of the black/white/red ones (Great Spotted Woodpecker) here in Ayrshire but I have not seen a green yet.
