When are African Violets usually stocked?
« on: August 08, 2017, 12:58 »
I was wondering which months of the year the major Garden Centres usually stock African Violets (Saintpaulia)?

I am planning ahead for some new indoor houseplants and a dark blue African Violet is on my list. I just have no idea yet of when in the year the centres usually get their stock in. The local independent near me only has bedding plants at the moment and no houseplants yet. My local Dobbies is out of stock.

Our local GCs seem to be having a bit of a clear out prior to restocking, so there is not much to choose from in the way of houseplants.

I would expect new saintpaulias to be coming in soon, as they are so popular, and are usually in flower pretty much all year round
