Nibbled garlic
« on: February 19, 2014, 23:38 »
Dem pesky rabbits have only gone and nibbled the tops off my newly-shooting garlic

Is this going to finish them off, or will they recover, does anybody know? (The majority of them have a couple of inches of green shoot left on them).

They should survive if it's just the very tip.

You might want to consider putting up some defences against the rabbits though

They should survive, my chooks did the same to mine a couple of seasons ago a few times and it came back and I had good sized bulbs.

Oh good, that's a relief. And yes, I'll be up there today (in rain and waterproof trousers!) repairing the rabbit-proof fencing...  :D

They took all my onions and leeks down last year and they grew back just fine!   :)
