Thanks for the tip off. York, Monks Cross, had loads when I went - grapes, red gooseberry, tayberry, raspberry, blueberrry were those I spotted

      I picked up two of the red gooseberry bushes ,no more of them left.

       I now have three red and two green varieties .

       I think that should be enough ?

Depends on how many gooseberries you eat I guess 

When they are fully mature five bushes will give you loads, and it is nice having different kinds. Our red ones are really sweet

I picked up a couple of plants in Friday, long term I'd like to train them up the shed however the shed is a bit...erm... Wonk at the moment and not ready for plants yet! Can I just pot them on and plant them out later? How long do I have to get them in the ground? Never grown a fruit shrub before!

The ones I looked at in our local Aldi (Selby) looked so small and weak, that I was worried I was wasting my money and time, please can someone give me some hope that purchasing these plants would be worth my while.

They normally do!
Place them in a bowl to soak up water and treat them as non hardened off plants at first

After insisting to myself I didn't need any more fruit bushes ( who am I kidding), I got a couple of blueberries and a tay berry
