Title: Rest in Peace

I seem to recall that over the years we had a few sudden deaths around January, either actors or singers but this year it seems to be the turn of footballers.

Cyril Regis was a shock given his age, I remember watching him on telly and some great goals scored, a Baggies legend.

Yesterday I woke to the sad news Jimmy Armfield had died. I was lucky to be able to know him and on a few occasions chat about football, he launched our walking football here in Blackpool back in December 2013 and would pop down every so often to see everyone and how well it grew. Jimmy in my mind is a true legend of football, he loved the game and everything about it.

I like many will miss him for who he was, a real true gentleman who had the time for everyone.

RIP Cyril and Jimmy
