Title: multiflora and grandiflora Petunias
Post by: rowlandwells on November 03, 2017, 10:04
looking through my seed catalogue as you do I was looking for a nice petunia to grow for next year and I came across a variety that I thought mite be worth a try which was a grandiflora type

however I was surprised to learn that mutiflora generally grow faster have more branches and flowers hence providing more masses of colour. other differences are smaller thinner leaves and flowers are not usually not ruffled or fringed and have greater disease resistance and weather tolerance so mutiflora does seem a better option to grow

but I think the grandiflora peleted seed I was looking at as it did look a better petunia to grow for our hanging baskets so we will go with that just to see if it produces a good show
