Rhubarb and ginger vodka is pretty good too  :nowink:

With rum you need something with a depth of flavour as it has a strong taste itself. I've made orange rum before and that was good

I've made blackcurrant rum using blackcurrants from the freezer.   Very nice in the winter when you have a cold.  Doesn't cure the cold but you feel so much better while waiting for it to go away ::)

we started making rhubarb cordial last year when we had a glut of rhubarb a friend ours gave us the recipe     we first of  boil  the rhubarb in a saucepan with sugar strain it down when its cold bottle and store in the fridge then add the gin when surving

makes a very refreshing drink for sitting in the garden after a spell on the allotment  :D

We do the same with rhubarb and make a cordial with added ginger. My little 'un likes it with sparkling water and I like it with something a little stronger ;)
