Title: Hi from a newbie allotment holder
Post by: Moodymum6052 on April 03, 2016, 11:51
Hi everyone, soooo excited to get an allotment at long last. I use to grow a few veg in a couple of small raised beds. Last year we downsized to a much smaller house with a tiny garden with no space for any veg.
Then discovered that there were allotments very close and put my name down. Last month we were offered a plot that had been worked up to the end of last year and is in pretty good condition complete with large shed with everything you could imagine you need.

We chose to take half the plot as feel this is much more manageable for first timers.  Will probably be asking a lot of questions over the next year.

Hi,

I am new to allotments too. We got outs this past week and although someone has had it for years, they haven't actually planted on it for about 5 years, so it's a bit of a mess. A little daunting too!
