Gladioli bulb question
« on: September 03, 2012, 09:47 »
Hi all, I lifted my glads last year & saved the main bulb which are now in full flower, & the cormlets which have grown but I have not not allowed to flower, I think that's right so as to let the bulb develop.

My real question is though, will the cormlets that I have saved, flower in the same colour as the main bulb they were taken from or is the subsequent colouring a bit "random"

Thanks

Chris

It will be the same as the mother plant, as it's a clone.
It's only through seeds, after crosspollination, that the genetic mix makes make things different :)
