Hello from Sunderland, UK
« on: June 20, 2017, 10:52 »
Hi all,

Karen and John here, just thought i would introduce us allotment newbies.

We have just got our first allotment across the road from where we live and are thrilled.

The place is a mess (i'll post some pics later) so we're in the process of tidying before planting.

Lots of plans and ideas but no growing experience so hope you guys are patient with us cos we'll have lots of questions  ;)

Thanks for reading.

Hello, and welcome.
This is a really friendly site, and you never need to be afraid of asking any question, no matter how small.  There will always be someone who will try to answer it for you. I've found it's always better to ask for advice than risk losing a crop.
You'll soon be enjoying the fruits of your labours, and absolutely nothing tastes as good as your own home-grown fruit and veg.
Looking forward to seeing pics of your progress.

Welcome to the site  :)
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

Cheers guys n gals, very nice welcome  :)
We will start a diary in the next couple of days and put a link in our signature.
Not much to report at the minute though, only 2 weeks in, it's a gonna be a long slow process.
Lots of pics though, the Mrs insisted on that  to give some perspective on our progress.
Thanks again.

Hi there, sounds like you are on the way to the delights to allotmenting, taking photos is a great way to record your progress so your wife is quite in the right, but you knew that anyway didn't you 😅. Most of all have fun & take your time, particularly in this heat
