Help!! couch grass in lawn

Does anyone have any solution apart from digging up most of the lawn to get rid of this we have patched appearing everywhere >:(

Maybe roundup gel would work? Whatever you try i sgoing to be a lot of effort.
I ended up digging up the front lawn and then reseeding it.

Couch is a PITA  :(

Not sure but regular cutting may help.
I work very hard so don't expect me to think as well.

Gets cut every week and it's spreading, think it may be a case of digging or as Balders said round up gel ... agree really is PITA, lawns are not my thing waste of a good vedge patch... what what !!

Lift the couch grass as much as possible with a lawn rake before cutting. Use a screwdriver to dig it out, or cut it off at the base of each plant. Work around the edges of each patch first to stop it spreading any further. Do it gradually, it takes a while but it can be done.
