Title: Prune Ivy
Post by: londongardener on September 20, 2018, 11:57
I have ivy on my wall and I love it, particularly the ivy bees etc when it is sunny.
However it does need pruning back, any idea when is the best time? (Obviously not now as that would get rid of the flowers).

You can cut it back any time, I do mine in the winter as I can get at it most easily, and although I might unhome some insects, on the whole there is the least impact on wildlife. I love the autumn bees too!!
